Bread Broken & Shared: Spring 2018

Posted on March 19, 2018 by Anthony Marshall

We have another exciting issue of the newsletter to share with you!

We have an update on our Annual “Partners in Mission”Appeal on pages 14-15. We are slowly approaching the half way mark of $100,000. We hope you might find it in your heart to join in and help the Congregation financially.

A major article in this issue is written by Father William Fickel, SSS and tells of a meeting of all of our religious in the USA (Province Assembly) in preparation for another meeting which will take place in October of this year ( our 25th Provincial Chapter). In conjunction with this, we ask you to pray with us for this meeting by daily saying the prayer on page 10 of this issue. Cleveland has a new Bishop and he already visited our religious here. Our lead article tells about this visit.

Father Joselito Hitosis, SSS shares with us his ministry of healing. He is just one of the many dedicated religious who serve God’s people. Another ministry that we have highlighted is that of Father George Dunne, SSS in the Diocese of Orlando, Florida. We share with you the story of Sister Kathryn Kelm SSS, a Servant of the Blessed Sacrament, who celebrated her anniversary. The Servants of the Blessed Sacrament were also founded by Saint Peter Julian Eymard.

Father John Thomas Lane, SSS shares the results of a recent Liturgy meeting he attended. Father Anthony Marshall, SSS enlightens us on how your parish can support the future of vocations in the USA.

We hope that you find the time to read this entire issue and learn more about the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament and its ministry and mission – in this way, you can walk with us in the footsteps of our holy Founder, Saint Peter Julian Eymard.

Whatever gift you are able to make, know it is most appreciated! Please include any special prayer intentions you would like us to remember. These intentions are prayed for by all the religious each day. It’s our simple way of saying “THANKS” to you who have been so good to us!

May you have a Blessed Holy Week and Easter!
