Daily Eucharistic Reflections

April 10, 2025

“Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever keeps my word will never see death”.  Hmmm…

Is Jesus really saying we will experience moving from consciousness on earth into everlasting life? …or…Jesus is really saying we will experience moving from consciousness on earth into everlasting life.

Which do you embrace?  The first is a question studying the choice to make a leap of faith.  The second is a committed personal choice implying actions speak louder than words, and “hang on and enjoy the ride.”  People generally reading DERs are in group number 2.  Guides we use are Father Eymard’s teachings, the examples of priests and religious of communities he founded and are living in our midst, and our brothers and sisters in the Associate/Aggregate communities.  We encourage people we live with to explore the Eucharistic teachings (actions speak louder than words) by how we live, by our Eucharistic commitment and adoration before the Blessed Sacrament.  Living, working, and adoring Jesus in the Eucharist is our most considerable encouragement.

Do we take the time to truly appreciate how affected we are by being sisters and brothers in the Eucharist?  Do we truly understand how effective we are by being brothers and sisters in the Eucharist?  In the gospel, Jesus is telling us that he knows—as he transitions the consciousness of this planet we call Earth—that we are with him all the time, all the way.

Let Us Pray

Pour forth we beseech thee, O Lord, thy grace into our hearts.  Let us experience the gift of your love flowing to us, and through us to others.  As you feed us, let us be examples, encouraging others to seek you in the time you have given us to be on this earth.  Encourage us to be examples of living in heaven, because where our Father is, heaven is, and You are there, and the Spirit is with us.  Amen.
