Did you know that every Christian has a vocation? The Second Vatican Council reminds us that "...everyone whether belonging to the hierarchy, or being cared for by it, is called to holiness..." (Lumen Gentium, no. 39). The universal call to holiness, or communion with God, is the mission of every Christian! How God invites you to live out the call to holiness is called a vocation. Single persons, married men and women, deacons, priests, bishops, monks, nuns, brothers or sisters: these are the avenues to holiness in the Church.
Presented here in this web site is some helpful information for young men - like you - trying to figure out how God is inviting them to holiness. If you would like more discernment help, please feel free to contact us at the Vocation Office; we would be delighted to help you discern God's will in your life. |
