Our Holy Founder St. Peter Julian Eymard once wrote that for Religious, "The essential thing is to strengthen our trust in God, feed upon his Truth, dedicate ourselves to his glory as our sovereign love, love him in everything, everywhere, and above everything!" As Blessed Sacrament Religious, we strive to live our Founder's ideal through our vocation to the Eucharistic life. Did you know that every Christian has a vocation? The Second Vatican Council reminds us that "...everyone whether belonging to the hierarchy, or being cared for by it, is called to holiness..." (Lumen Gentium, no. 39). The universal call to holiness, or communion with God, is the mission of every Christian! How God invites you to live out the call to holiness is called a vocation. Single persons, married men and women, deacons, priests, bishops, monks, nuns, brothers or sisters: these are the avenues to holiness in the Church. Presented here in this web site is some helpful information for young men - like you - trying to figure out how God is inviting them to holiness. If you would like more discernment help, please feel free to contact us at the Vocation Office; we would be delighted to help you discern God's will in your life. New Priesthood Ordinations! The Province of Saint Ann rejoices in the ordinations to the priesthood of Blessed Sacrament Religious Anthony Marshall, SSS and John Christman, SSS. Please keep them in your prayers, and pray that God will call forth many more young men to serve as Blessed Sacrament Priests and Brothers. |
