College Formation Program

The Holy Spirit speaks to us in a special way during the formative years of young adulthood. We are eager to accompany you as you discern God’s call in your life. The Blessed Sacrament College Formation Program can help.

If you are presently a college-age student or soon will be, our Vocation Director will work with you in designing a personal program of regular contact, spiritual direction, and visits as you stay in school or at home and pursue your college education.

A second option is a program for college-age men who have made the choice to study in an undergraduate seminary setting while they discern the Lord’s call to life as a Blessed Sacrament Religious.

At Borromeo Seminary, the college formation program of the Diocese of Cleveland, Ohio, we help the candidates appreciate the distinctiveness of a vocation to the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament. Borromeo is located just minutes from the Cleveland Blessed Sacrament Community which serves Saint Paschal Baylon Parish and is also our national headquarters.

The academically accredited program is affiliated with John Carroll University where a wide range of majors are available. In preparation for future studies in theology, those discerning the call to priesthood in the Church are required to major in philosophy. It is possible to pursue an additional major in addition to philosophy.

The Blessed Sacrament College Formation Program at Borromeo can help you discern your vocation by providing an atmosphere of regular prayer lived in a community of other college-age men who are discerning their own vocation, providing a nurturing and supportive environment which will strengthen and enable you to discern if you are called to be a Blessed Sacrament Religious.

Admission to Borromeo Seminary can take place at the beginning of both fall and winter semesters. Applicants are encouraged to begin the process for admission no less than three months prior to the start of the semester. Apply now for your Freshmen Year in 2017-2018, prepare your transfer from your current school or arrange a visit to Borromeo with other interested young men by contacting Father Anthony Marshall, SSS, Vocation Director, using the form below or call him at (440) 442-7243.
