The Award Winning Magazine of Eucharistic Spirituality
published by the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament

Emmanuel Magazine has been published since 1894 and is America's third oldest Catholic periodical. It was started from the beginning as a magazine of Eucharistic spirituality for priests who had joined the Priests Eucharsitic League, promising to spend a hour a week in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. After the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament arrived in the United States its direction was given to the Congregation. It has been edited by the Congregation for almost 100 years.

Though originally intended only for priests - at one time it reached more than half the priests in the U.S. - its readership now includes deacons, and many people in Church service. Because it continues to be the only magazine of Eucharistic spirituality in the country, it is appreciated by many because of the magazine's emphasis on the Eucharist, liturgy and prayer.
